Jenny Mayo is a writer with experience covering lifestyle, culture, arts and entertainment, personalities, dining and fitness. She has published work in prestigious media outlets including the Washington Post, Washington Times, Smithsonian Magazine Online, Washingtonian, Dance Spirit, American Fitness and more. She also brings to her writing some two and a half years of experience as a managing editor for a DC-based entertainment monthly.

Jenny has penned features on a spectrum of topics including air guitar's comeback, the risks of egg donation, family fun in the DC area, free running/parkour and pop music's stereotyping of Latinas. She has interviewed notable film and music industry names like Joss Stone, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Matisyahu, actress Catalina Sandino Moreno and actor Ryan Gosling. She photographs her own work sometimes, and is versed on each aspect of production, from generating story ideas to page layout in InDesign. A graduate of Barnard/Columbia with an American Studies major, Jenny is currently pursuing a Master's in Nonfiction Writing at Johns Hopkins.
